This was the scene before the movie started. The local Ghostbusters club raffled off some items before the film started. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was a fun watch.

If you’re on the fence about going to see Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, don’t be. I had the chance to see it last night and one word sums it up, FUN.

It was cool to see how they married the Ghostbusters of the past with the latest one. Older TV clips shown on local news shows bring you right back to where it all started. I’ll admit that I didn’t see the last Ghostbusters movie from 2021, so I went into this movie just relying on the original two. As far as I’m concerned, that’s all you need to see Frozen Empire. From what I’ve heard, I didn’t miss anything but not seeing Afterlife.

All your favorites return. Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Paul Rudd and Ernie Hudson. They’re joined by Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, along with Paton Oswald, and Kumail Ali Nanjiani as Nadeem, who played a very funny, but very pivotal character in the movie. Another pivotal character was Phoebe Spengler played by Mckenna Grace as she interacted with a female ghost played by Emily Alin Lind. As the young, very smart Ghostbuster, Phoebe takes on a big part in the movie using her brains and desire to prove herself.

This is a movie for the entire family. Great for kids, funny, easy to follow, with some great characters, and an overall killer visual experience. The thing they do with CGI nowadays is pretty incredible. The action scenes are fun, with New York City once again playing the backdrop in the film.

I’ll also give you this little tip: stay during the credits for an extra little clip. Some people in our theater started leaving before the credits ended and missed it.

I’m sure this movie is going to be a blockbuster. Get out and see it and get lost for a couple of hours from reality.
