A Guy Throws Thousands of Screws on the Road to Prevent His Ex from Dating Other People

A 63-year-old guy in Minnesota is facing charges after he dumped thousands of screws on the road near his ex-girlfriend’s house, to prevent her from driving to see her new boyfriend.

Over the month of August, police discovered the man had purchased about 12,668 sheetrock screws in total. Around 150 people ended up with flat tires causing a total of $1,592.33 in damages to vehicles.

A 63-year-old Elk River man was charged Wednesday after admitting to throwing screws onto roadways in Sherburne County, Minnesota.
