A Nine-Year-Old Applied For A Job With NASA And It’s Adorable
Recently, NASA announced that they’re hiring for a Planetary Protection Officer, which sounds like something from the latest superhero blockbuster.
The position is actually much more involved than that, but if you’re nine-year-old Jack Davis and you love outer space, this kind of thing sounds right up your alley. For that reason, the ambitious fourth grader decided to toss his hat into the ring to be considered for the job opening.
He wrote a letter to NASA explaining his qualifications, which include “I have seen almost all of the space and alien movies I can see” as well as “I am young so I can learn to think like an alien.”
While Jack didn’t even get an interview, which seems a little bogus given his credentials, he did get a kind letter back from NASA encouraging him to continue to study hard and pursue his passion.
Check out the full contents of his submission, as well as NASA’s return reply here.
