Taco Bell October 31st, the '60s Tostada, '70s Green Sauce Burrito, '80s Meximelt, and '90s Gordita Supreme will hit menus again.

Taco Bell brings back iconic menu items from its first 50 years to unlock core Taco Bell memories and spark nostalgia for a new era of fans.  The ‘60s Tostada, ‘70s Green Sauce Burrito, ‘80s Meximelt, and ‘90s Gordita Supreme will hit menus, and starting November 21, the ‘00s Caramel Apple Empanada will join the menu, each for a price that won't harm your wallet.

Taco Bell Memories To Celebrate Decades In The Business

The only things that haven't been brought back are smoking inside the restaurant and the real glass ashtrays from the late 1970s.

Fans have been creating and sharing Taco Bell memories for decades—everything from nerve-racking first dates to taco-centric graduation photoshoots and big birthday bashes—all starting with a trip to the nearest Taco Bell.

I remember friends, and I would order pintos and cheese and load it up with Taco Bell hot sauce packets way before the super hot food craze started. We were always loaded up with cinnamon crispers, thanks to my pal Andy, who, in High School, had a job for a short time at the Bell in Warren, Michigan.

‘1960s—Tostada: This is an original menu item, one of six released in 1962 at Taco Bell’s first walkup location in Southern California. It consists of a crispy corn tostada shell layered with savory refried beans, tangy red sauce, crispy lettuce, and shredded cheese.

Meximelt: One of our most requested comeback items, the Meximelt is made with freshly prepared pico de gallo, a blend of three kinds of cheese: mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey jack melted with crave-able seasoned beef in a tortilla. Popular in the 1980s

Gordita SupremeThe ultimate 90s favorite, the Beef Gordita Supreme, returns. It's a pillowy warm flatbread filled with savory seasoned beef, cool reduced-fat sour cream, crisp lettuce, and a blend of three kinds of cheese: mozzarella, cheddar, Monterey jack, and diced tomatoes.

Caramel Apple Empanada: The Apple Empanada has a golden-brown, crispy exterior filled with apple pieces and a flavorful, creamy caramel filling. It's kind of like the Hot Apple Pie without the molten Lava, and it's available starting November 21.

My 1st Memories of Taco Bell

Warren, Michigan, while I was a sophomore in High School, word spread fast about a new fast food place right near the School. The trick was to run as fast as you could for lunch to get to a packed Taco Bell, eat, and then run back before your next class. The timing had to be perfect, or you would be tardy.

As an Adult, the trick then became Friday & Saturday nights, getting out of the bar and waiting in a long line of cars to get just about everything on the menu. I still see that late at night as some Taco Bells were open 24 hours or till 4 am.
