This incident happened in Polk County, Florida at a Taco Bell on U.S. Highway 92 East around 10am. According to FOX 13 News, deputies say they found Marcus Jenkins, 34, had fallen asleep in the driver’s seat of a Nissan Altima while it was running and stopped in the Taco Bell drive-thru. WFTS reports Jenkins’ eyes were bloodshot and watery, he was sweating, slow to react, and his breath smelled of alcohol. All seem to be apparent signs that he was drinking that night and under the influence.
According to WFTS, inside the car, Marcus had a Florida ID card that belonged to another man in his hands when they found him. Additionally, an open bottle of Crown Royal, fentanyl, and marijuana were all found in the car, per WFTS. He was then arrested for DUI and taken to Polk County Jail where he was also charged with three other felonies and four other misdemeanors.
Unfortunately, this type of behavior seems to be a pattern for Marcus. FOX 13 News reports that this was his 18th arrest in Polk County in 17 years. Previously, he’s been arrested for battery, burglary, and drug charges.
