According to Daily Mail, women having sex with other women are more likely to have consistent orgasms compared to women with a male partner. Daily Mail reports that the study out of Rutgers University found that 78% of sexual experiences with female partners led to orgasms–versus only 65% of experiences with a male partner led to an orgasm. That’s statistically significant!
However, that’s not all that the study revealed. The research also showed the importance of foreplay. Findings seem to point to foreplay being an important factor in reaching climax during intercourse. Unfortunately, the study appears to say that straight men don’t have much of an interest in foreplay and prefer to get right to the point.
Additionally, the study showed that it was more common for a woman who’s having sex with another woman to be more confident in believing their sexual experience will lead to an orgasm. Women who have sex with men scored much lower in their criteria grades for that category. According to Daily Mail, “when they imagined sex with a man, the women reported a score of 4.88 compared to 5.86 when they imagined sex with a woman.”
This goes to show the power of belief. It seems to go hand-in-hand with the self-fulfilling prophecy that what we think will happen will happen.
