What’s up, Detroit Rock City? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has just dropped its list of nominees for the 2025 class, and—surprise, surprise—rock and roll is dominating this time. Out of the 14 nominees, a solid seven are rock legends, and eight are first-time nominees.
Here’s who’s repping rock on the ballot:

• Billy Idol
• Oasis
• Soundgarden

A Green Day-Inspired Comedy is in the Works
If you’ve ever dreamed of going on a road trip to see Green Day, you’re not alone. There’s a new comedy movie in the works called New Year’s Rev, which follows three young rockers trying to make it to L.A. to open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.
The film is being produced by Live Nation Productions and is said to be inspired by Green Day’s early years on the road. No release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
Spiritbox Drops a New Single + Tour Update
Spiritbox just unleashed a new single called “No Loss, No Love”, and it’s streaming everywhere now. The track is off their upcoming album, Tsunami Sea, which drops March 7th.
If you’re hoping to catch them live, here’s the deal: No Detroit date. But you can still see them in Grand Rapids on April 27th if you’re up for a road trip.
Meshuggah Remasters Immutable + Detroit Date Announced
In the land of heavy metal, Meshuggah is coming in hot with a remastered edition of their 2022 album, Immutable, dropping April 4th. The new release includes three live tracks recorded during their 2023-2024 tour—because more Meshuggah is always a good thing.
