An acupuncture patient was abandoned by their doctor who went home for a nap! If you’re scared of needles, then this is a nightmare scenario. They ended up having to remove them by themselves!

According to the Des Moines Register, an Iowa man called the Sheriff’s Office for assistance after his acupuncturist inserted needles into his body and then went home for a nap and fell asleep. Can you imagine? How long would go by before you realize the doctor isn’t coming back? For a long time I’d be lying there thinking the doctor is just with other patients or getting work done. However, little do I know they’re comfy at home enjoying a nap!
The Des Moines Register reports that the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office indicated that it happened at the Rock Rapids office of XiaoDong “Dave” Wang, who is a state-licensed acupuncturist. The reports say he inserted the needles into the patient and then left the facility to go home and nap. I get having to wait a little for the needles to do their work, but going home seems like it wouldn’t be the best idea–even if you plan on promptly returning.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good nap. However, there’s a time and a place. Clearly, this was not the timing for a nap. He must have been incredibly tired to just bail on the patient for a nap.
The Board Of Medicine alleges that the patient then had to remove the needles on their own and waited an hour and a half for the doctor to return and even tried to reach him via the phone, per The Des Moines Register. Reports say the Board Of Medicine has charged Wang with professional incompetence and has agreed to settle with a warning and a $500 fine, per The Des Moines Register.

What’s weird is when celebrities try to pretend or claim they didn’t have any plastic surgery, when it’s clearly obvious. Not only is it clear just by looking at them, but do they know the internet exists? We can see photos of you from last week, last year, 10 years ago, and more. You can’t hide from your past! Not with the internet the way it is.
