A Walmart thief claims she was just playing a game of ’21’ when she got caught. However, that’s not how we played the game growing up!
Leave it to a big corporation like Walmart to spoil all the fun. Here’s more on the story.
Walmart Thief Claims She Was Playing Game Of ’21’
According to FOX 13 News, a woman in Palm Coast, Florida claimed she was simply playing a shoplifting game at Walmart when she was busted. Fox 13 News reports the woman, Amber McCann, told deputies she was playing a game called “21” where someone grabs as much merchandise from a store and walks out without paying while trying not to be caught.
See, when I was growing up we also had a game called “21” only it was a basketball game and the first person to reach a score of 21 wins. This does not appear to be that same game.
However, that’s only the beginning of McCann’s story that day. When officers went to retrieve the stolen items from her vehicle, they noticed a clear and distinct odor of marijuana inside the vehicle, per FOX 13 News. That’s when police found baggies of marijuana, a scale, hashish, a used glass pipe, and empty baggies were located in the truck of the vehicle. Additionally, they found a locked bag that had two baggies of a clear crystal-like substance which tested positive for methamphetamine, and another baggie with two tablets identified as alprazolam, per FOX 13 News.
Sounds like it wasn’t great timing for a game of “21.” So many bad decisions in one incident. You can check out McCann’s mugshot below along with a video report of the story from FOX 35 Orlando. She appears to be missing part of an eyebrow?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
