Here Are the Detroit Lions’ Odds to Win the Super Bowl Next Year
The Super Bowl is over for this year, and that means it’s officially time to start thinking about the Big Game for next season. Detroit Lions fans have been thinking about it for more than two weeks, actually. It still hurts so much that the Lions fell to the San Francisco 49ers in what seemed like the weirdest, flukiest game ever in the NFC Championship. So, the Lions did not get to the Super Bowl this season. But what about next season? Here are the Detroit Lions’ odds to win the Super Bowl next year.
ESPN has put out their list of all the teams ranked in terms of their odds to win Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9, 2025. Before we get to the Lions, let’s look at the top two teams. No, the Lions are not one of them. No. 1 on their list is a name that Lions fans don’t want to see: the 49ers. According to ESPN’s betting odds, the 49ers have the best chance of making it to and winning Super Bowl LIX. No. 2 on the list is the Kansas City Chiefs. I really don’t think I can take another Chiefs vs. 49ers Super Bowl, so please, let’s not see that happen.
No. 3 on the tally is the Baltimore Ravens. I totally agree with that pick. I think most people were surprised when the Ravens fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship. Also, I think the Ravens will be at the Big Game next year. No. 4 is a surprise, to me, at least: the Buffalo Bills. I know the Bills are good, but are they better than the Detroit Lions? I think not.
So, here we are, and the Detroit Lions are No. 5 on ESPN’s list of the teams most likely to win the Super Bowl next year. I’ll take it. I totally think next year is out year, even though this year really did seem like our year, too. Check out all of the odds by ESPN here. Let me know your thoughts here.
