Having your kids eat their vegetables just got a little easier! Or…did it? Is broccoli-infused chocolate the new chocolate and strawberries? One company is hoping so!
It doesn’t sound like it would be tasty at first thought. Maybe it’s an unexpected surprise? Let’s learn more about it.
Is Broccoli-Infused Chocolate The New Chocolate Strawberries?
Tenderstem has released chocolate-infused broccoli treats. It’s the dessert nobody expected and nobody asked for. According to Dextero, the treat is made with all sorts of European ingredients, and their chocolate broccoli is a top-tier product.
However, not everyone seems to be onboard with this snack. Some are even threatening to leave their partner if they gift them chocolate-infused broccoli. Personally, I can’t blame them! Regular chocolates should work just fine. Totally normal and acceptable move. You want to put strawberries inside? Cool with me. Chocolate covered chips? I’ve had those, they were delicious. Chocolate covered pickle? Seems strange, but it wasn’t bad! There are many snacks you can pair with chocolate. However, is broccoli really one of them?
Well, it goes well with melted nacho cheese. We’ve seen that be popular before. Why would chocolate be any different? It has to be better than plain old broccoli, right?
The packaging on the unique product reads, “Show your tender side this Valentine’s Day with these limited edition fresh dark chocolates filled with a gentle Tenderstem broccoli.” Oh, no. On top of it involving broccoli, the chocolate is dark? That’s not great. In fact, Dextero points out that the chocolate contains almond notes and is 72% Ecuadorian dark chocolate, green broccoli ganache, and fresh Dorset cream.
It was shared on Instagram and it now has the internet divided. However, I can see it selling. Some people might genuinely enjoy the treat. Others might buy it to prank a friend or their loved one. I can see both happening. Would you try it?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
