Matthew Stafford Reportedly Tapped for Season 2 of ‘Quarterback’
Peyton Manning has a super popular “Quarterback” Netflix series, but it’s not always easy to get guys on. That kind of reminds me about how HBO’s “Hard Knocks” is very popular, but a lot of teams don’t want to do the show. Well, it appears Manning is set for season two of “Quarterback.” He’s bringing on a familiar name to both Detroit Lions and L.A. Rams fans. Matthew Stafford reportedly has been tapped for the show.
Matthew Stafford Reportedly Tapped for Season 2 of ‘Quarterback’
Stafford will be featured in season 2 of “Quarterback,” according to a report from Jake Ellenbogen of Turf Show Times. Ellenbogen also states that Stafford was already wearing a microphone during his team’s first NFL game of the season. That game saw the Rams beating the Seattle Seahawks, which was a surprise, since the Seahawks are supposed to be strong this year, and the Rams, well, are not. Moreover, Stafford’s wife Kelly mentioned on her podcast, “The Morning After,” that Matthew declined an offer to appear on the first season of “Quarterback.” But, she said that he would consider doing shows in the future. So, perhaps they revisited the idea.
I have to say that I would love to see Jared Goff or Jalen Hurts on this show. I would have much more interest in seeing them than most of the other current options. Last season, Manning’s media company, Omaha Productions, brought on three quarterbacks to highlight on the show: Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. It doesn’t get much bigger than that.
In other news, have you ever wondered what NFL teams have the most Super Bowl wins? The answer to that is the AFC’s Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots. They both have won six games.
