The makers of Fruit Roll-Ups had to clarify that you CANNOT eat the plastic wrapper they come with. There’s been a rumor circulating online that those wrappers are edible, but they’re not.

Examples of this span a number of decades. In the 1960s, The Beatles were involved in two of these instances with The Kinks and David Bowie.
