Steve Martin Documentary Heading to Apple TV+
Steve Martin and his legendary career and life are getting the documentary treatment.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Martin documentary will be available via Apple TV+ and made by A24. Academy Award-winner Morgan Neville has been tapped to direct and produce the doc. Neville directed and produced 2013’s 20 Feet from Stardom, which won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. He also directed and produced 2018’s Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, which chronicled the life of Fred Rogers.
Martin said of the documentary, “It’s somebody else’s take. They found a lot of archival stuff. They found a photo of my father in 1944 in Germany, touring ‘Our Town’ with the USO.”
A release date and title for the project is not currently known.
