Michigan has its challenges when it comes to driving, especially since we get such nasty weather in the winter. Actually, we just dodged that huge snow and ice storm, so maybe the tide is turning for us. Let’s hope!
According to a new study from WalletHub, Michigan is the eighth-worst state to drive in in the United States.
For the study, they looked at all states to determine which were the most driver-friendly using 31 key metrics, such as rush-hour traffic congestion, road quality and average gas prices.
Michigan is No. 43 on the list. We ranked 20th for rush-hour congestion, 19th for traffic fatality rates and car theft rate, 26th for road quality and 39th for auto maintenance costs. Check out the full study here.
