Michigan defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson is officially a Heisman finalist. He’s also been a big part of Michigan’s recent wins over Ohio State and Iowa.

In a new interview with The Rich Eisen Show, Hutchinson says he was destined to go to Michigan. He also got in a little dig against Ohio State and Michigan State.

“Michigan was always No. 1 for me, my parents went there, my sisters both graduated form there,” Hutchinson said on the show. “I visited some other schools. Unfortunately, I visited Ohio State and Michigan State. It hurt my soul a little bit to do that. I can say that now in hindsight.” Ouch.

Hutchinson’s dad, by the way, was a former All-American under Bo Schembechler at Michigan. I think it’s awesome that he wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps, but maybe he shouldn’t have toured MSU and Ohio State if his mind was made up.
