You Won’t Believe This Is the Fastest-Growing Metro Area in America
The 2020 census data was released Thursday (Aug. 12), and looking at the data, the fastest-growing metropolitan area in America might come as a surprise. Let’s just say, it’s a bit off the radar.
According to the census data, the population of The Villages in Florida grew 39% over the past decade, from 93,000 in 2010 to 130,000 in 2020. The Villages has a requirement that at least one member of the household has to be 55 or older.
It makes sense, if you think about the aging baby boomer generation. But, still, who would have thought a retirement community would be the fastest growing spot? Find more information on the 2020 census data here.
