A Warning Has Been Issued To Kohl’s Customers
Kohl’s has issued a warning to customers after a social media post promised Black Friday savings.
Recently, a Facebook account named Kohl’s Club published a photo that promised shoppers would get a coupon worth $150 in savings just in time for Black Friday.
The account gave Facebook uses specific instructions, in order to “qualify” for the coupon.
Supposedly, after users liked, shared, and commented “done,” they would receive the coupon.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
Snopes has labeled the offer as a scam.
After several people followed the instructions, other Facebook users started to question the post.
In truth, the fake account, which has since been shut down, was created on Monday.
But, several screenshots of the fake promotion are still circulating on Facebook.
Do not, we repeat, do not fall for it!
This is a good reminder though, that in the age of the here and now, you simply cannot believe everything you read on the internet.
It’s very easy for scammers to steal logos from reputable pages and to make their account seem legit.
