Well, in my opinion anyway. I’m not a huge holiday person and honestly, when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw my neighbor already had his Christmas lights up I definitely shook my head. That being said, who am I to ruin someone else’s holiday spirit? I’ll put up my Christmas tree… eventually. Probably after Thanksgiving (like a sane person) but again, what do I care how early someone starts to spread holiday cheer?

In a move that makes it seem my Grinch-like heart has grown three sizes, I’ve decided to share some of the best rock n’ roll holiday songs! Enjoy and happy holidays!

  • Jonathan Young - "All I Want For Christmas"

The ONLY way to listen to “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey is if it’s the heavy metal version. There’s actually a couple metal versions of this song, but this one is my favorite.

  • Fozzy - "Father Christmas"

I was under the impression this song was done by Fozzy but it says Christ Jericho and the Christmas Helves. Either way, this version is way more rock n’ roll than the 1977 version by the Kinks.

  • Shinedown - "Happy X-Mas (War Is Over)

Brent Smith singing holiday tunes will always put me in a good mood. They do such a great job on this song!

  • August Burns Red - "Home Alone Theme"

I don’t think there’s a millennial out there who doesn’t like ‘Home Alone’ and this rock version of the theme is killer!

  • Cheech & Chong - "Santa Claus and His Old Lady"

This holiday classic never gets old! It’s not the holidaze without a little Cheech & Chong!

  • Small Town Titans - "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch"

‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’ is probably one of my favorite movies. The original cartoon followed by the version starring Jim Carrey of course. This version of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” is a banger!

  • Blink-182 - "Wont Be Home For Christmas"

This song slightly less offensive than their other holiday song, which I also have on this list.

  • Judas Priest - "Hark The Herald Angels Sing"

Not sure there’s anything more glorious than Rob Halford belting out “Hark The Herald Angels Sing!”

  • Otherwise - "Run Rudolph Run"

Anytime I hear this version of “Run Rudolph Run” I picture Santa in a leather red suit rocking sunglasses and the devil horns.

  • Royal Bliss - "Favorite Things"

I honestly didn’t know this was a holiday song until they released this version.

  • Blink-182 - "Happy Holidays, You Bastard"

This song just always makes me laugh and actually covers a few different holidays.
