Hello everybody i’m Nate your newest DJ here on WRIF and I thought I would write this article so everyone could get to know me better. I love drinking beer and hanging with friends on a Friday night just like everybody else. I am super into anything supernatural and even cryptozoology.
I got my start in radio in 2020 and 3 years later joined the WRIF. The nickname “Havoc” caught fire after my mom would constantly have to worry about what ridiculous thing I would do next as a kid. For example attempting to steal a family’s canoe at a 7-year-olds birthday party, don’t worry I was 7 too. You can catch me talking about all sorts of wacky things every time I am on air. Read on to learn 10 things about me you probably didn’t know.
Animal Lover
I am an avid animal lover and enjoy spending time with all of my pets. Growing up I always had an obsession with watching anything and everything on animal planet and always wanted to go on an African safari one day. One animal that always amazed me was the Orca or “killer whale” and this started after I became a die-hard “Free Willy” fan as a child. I do believe that some dogs have soul ties to their humans, mine was Rocco my best friend. who lives on within a tattoo of the two of us on my arm. I currently have 2 cats and a beloved dog named Mabel.

Weird with food
I have some hot takes on food groups and habits. For instance, I am not a fan of condiments on any of my sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs etc. Now, I will eat any of those items if they come with sauce on them already, but I refuse to willingly put mustard and ketchup on my hot dogs. I don’t dip chicken nuggets or french fries in ketchup nor do I put mayo on a BLT. I don’t care what anyone says, I think guacamole is nasty. Lastly, I’m a Lafayette coney island guy.

Movie Nerd
I am one of the biggest movie fanatics in existence. I’m also an insanely hard critic. I’m really interested in horror films, superhero movies, sci-fi/fantasy, comeback stories and dark movies. Some of my all-time favorite movies include Batman the Dark Knight, Braveheart, Interstellar, The Conjuring and anything Star Wars related.

Sports Megafan
The kid who had a card collection of over 10,000 and carefully studied each one. That kid was me. On top of being a super collector of all sports memorabilia, I also was an athlete who played basketball and baseball for 15 years. I still play in softball leagues and attempt to play pickup basketball whenever possible.

Specs Howard TV/Radio Grad
I graduated from Specs Howard School of Media Arts in 2020 with a Radio and Television Broadcasting Degree. I have worked at 4 different radio stations before joining the on-air team at WRIF!
Married
Yes ladies, I am taken. My beautiful wife Carrie is the one I go home and get to be weird with. Carrie is a horse-riding instructor in the metro area. We love watching movies together, going out to try new restaurants, and adventuring with our beloved dog Mabel.
