In case you missed my interview with Jelly Roll last week, we talked about a ton of things, including his many connections to Detroit.

"I Feel Like I'm A Michigander At Heart" is how he responded when I brought up all the artists he's played with here. He spoke to the Cannabis business he has here, as just one thing he's doing in Michigan.

He recalled watching Eminem's '8 Mile' while in prison, Twiztid taking him on his very first tour, and playing shows with the Insane Clown Posse, including their Hallowicked shows at Harpos. "I was thinking about it yesterday...I've played almost everywhere in Detroit."

How's this for a stamp of approval - "Bob Seger's my favorite rock and roll artist of all time!" Has he ever had a chance the meet the Motor City legend? "I have not, but, man, it's big dreams for me, dude." He went on to say that 'Against The Wind' is his favorite song of all time. "Ever!" he exclaimed. He said on his top 10 list, that song is at the top. When I suggested he should cover that on his upcoming rock album, he immediately started jotting it down on a notepad near by.

He also spoke highly of our own, Kid Rock. Kid Rock has taught him more about the music business than anyone. He said "I don't think anybody in the music business knows more about it than Kid Rock does." No matter what you think about Rock, he's a great businessman.
