In the days of modern cinema, it has never been easier to watch your favorite shows and movies. Many people binge watch an entire series from their couch over one weekend. Some would consider this convenience a blessing, others a curse. One thing is for sure, it’s super easy to watch movies and shows whenever you want! It’s become so easy that oftentimes it is hard to decide on something to watch. This has led to many people including myself, rewatching these shows over and over again. But how many good shows to rewatch are there?

Not All Shows are a Good Rewatch

Through a painstaking process of watching all different sorts of TV shows, i have learned that some shows are much more rewatchable than others. Shows like The Office, Parks and Recreation, Friends, and many others are so easily rewatchable and have made millions of dollars for streaming companies just off of their rewatch views alone. These shows are easy to rewatch for a variety of reasons, of course they’re all comedies so at least they could always provide a laugh to their fans.

Another reason I think these shows are so rewatchable is that they do have a story that develops and continues throughout each season. But even with the story being relevant, there’s never a reason to go back and say, “oh I don’t remember what happened before this, so I don’t get this episode”. Obviously if you have already watched the show, you likely remember what happened anyway.

Shows To Rewatch Vary

But the beauty of all of this is every episode is so individually packed that these shows can be picked up at any point in any season and be enjoyed to the max. What’s not always talked about is the shows that are absolutely not rewatchable. This group of shows aren’t bad shows! They just are a certain type of series that doesn’t call you back to watch it again. To me, the feeling the series gave you, while perhaps an amazing experience you just know in your heart it’s not worth rewatching. Scroll down to find out the top 5 worst shows to rewatch!

  • Game of Thrones

This one should be obvious. I loved this show so damn much, but the last season and a half really dulled the whole experience for me. Don’t get me wrong GOT was an unbelievable thrill ride, I just don’t feel inclined to ever watch it again.

  • Dahmer the Monster

The limited time Netflix series about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was a chilling journey and an intense watch for true crime fans. Perhaps one so intense there’s really no reason to ever want to rewatch it.

  • Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez

A true Crime doc that ends up being such a sad tale of fate and circumstance for all involved, it’s not really a piece you would ever want to watch twice.

  • Arrested Development

Here’s a show that I absolutely loved! It even features one of the best comeback stories after being canceled. There is absolutely zero desire to ever rewatch it though. I tried one time and could never reach the same interest level as the first watch.

  • The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is one of the most captivating and interesting Star Wars shows that’s been released. It is easily one of my all-time favorite Star Wars pieces. But in terms of trying to rewatch the series, it’s hard.  It’s such slow developing show that rewatching it doesn’t give you the same feeling of going on a mysterious journey that may never end.
