101 RIFFS OF SUMMER

Another week of summer, and another batch of epic “Riffs” with the 101 Riffs Of Summer on 101 WRIF Detroit’s Rock Station. We spanned several decades this week, with excellent riffs from the 80s to more recent rocking tracks.

This week, we put the spotlight on epic riffs from rock greats like George Thorogood to newcomers like Michigan’s own Greta Van Fleet. We featured several other great and recognizable riffs during the show this week. Make sure to listen Monday through Friday at 2pm for the daily “Riff Of Summer!” Plus, you’ll get two “riffs” on Two-Fer Tuesdays doubling up on some of your favorite WRIF bands.

In previous weeks, we’ve highlighted bands like Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, and more. The catalogue goes deep and it goes way back, covering all different aspects and angles of rock and roll throughout the years. Great “Riffs” happened back in the ’60s, and they’re still happening today. With the 101 Riffs of Summer, we hope to cover all of your favorites spanning across multiple generations and decades.

If you missed any of the “Riffs” this week, check out the playlist below, along with the playlist from previous weeks, as well. Then, continue reading to hear about an awesome contest with a rocking Grand Prize!

Here’s what you missed on the show this week! Don’t forget to listen Monday through Friday at 2pm for the “101 Riffs Of Summer!” (Still listen other times, too…just make sure not to miss it at 2pm, is what we’re saying.).
