Royal Blood and Bad Nerves rocked the Fillmore in downtown Detroit last night. I’ve said it before, but these two guys are so good! Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher make up the band, and make a lot of noise. Ben is a very quality drummer, and he showed it again last night. But in my opinion, Mike Kerr is really the guy who drives the ship. Between his singing and masterful guitar playing, he’s so talented. He does it all without missing a note. It’s really something to see.
The first time I saw these guys was when they opened for the Foo Fighters around 2017, I believe. I was blown away then, and I’m still in awe now.
I’m not a musician, nor do I pretend to know all about this stuff, but a friend who worked the show said Mike’s pedalboard is insane. That dude changes the sound of his guitar flawlessly throughout the night.
From “Trouble’s Coming”, to “Out Of The Black” and “Figure It Out”, this show rocked!
A Thank You to Will Spurrier for the killer pictures!
