This is what the outside looks like from the daytime. Otto told me it all lights up at night.
MeltdownMy friend, Otto, has invited me over to his haunted house for years. I finally got the chance to swing by on Saturday afternoon during the off-hours. All I can say is WOW! This place is totally nuts! I think it took me about a solid thirty minutes to walk through the whole thing, as he showed me different gimmicks and animatronics.
I asked him how many pieces he thought he had in total. His response was that he had no clue. I can believe it. It's just room after room of zombies, clowns, horror film characters, and lots more.
It's open to the public and it's free, but he does have a donation box for anyone who wants to drop a few bucks in to cover his time, repairs, and electric bills. He does this every year just for the love of it.
Here's the info....
- It's located at 15443 Robinwood Dr in Plymouth. (Off of Five Mile rd between Haggerty and Northville rd)
- The hours are 6:30-7:30 no scarers
- 7:30-10:30 with scarers
Take the family out there and see it for yourself....if you dare! (evil laugh)
Here are some pictures from my daytime visit.
Like I said, it's CRAZY! Go and check it out this weekend or on Halloween night. Happy Haunting!
-Meltdown-
MeltdownThe front yard at 15443 Robinwood Dr in Plymouth.
MeltdownThis house in Plymouth goes overboard on Halloween....and Christmas too.
MeltdownHere's where you enter....if you dare.
MeltdownThis is part of the display area. Dave Hunter would not approve of this part of the yard.
MeltdownMore from the clowns area. This is at the beginning of your scary journey.
MeltdownYou always get the feeling like something's watching you!
MeltdownThis is the UFO section....and again, someone is always watching from above!
MeltdownThere's an outdoor pirate section, complete with music and a bar
MeltdownThis is as you walk into the horror movie section. I didn't take a picture of the VCR display, but that brought me back a few years. Great memories.
MeltdownDid I mention there's a werewolf section? Yes, there's that too!
MeltdownYou need some music as you walk through the pirate section, right?!?
MeltdownMore outdoor shots. I can't even venture to guess how many skeletons are on display throughout.
MeltdownMore skeletons. This wasn't even halfway through my journey.
MeltdownYou can even get married or renew your vows there...as these kids did!
MeltdownThis is a pretty wild section, complete with cages holding back some demon children on the right side. I'd suggest seeing it in person.
MeltdownDon't worry, there's medics on premises should you need them.
MeltdownIt just keeps going, room after room. Lots of black lights to enhance the experience.
MeltdownYes, there's a bar on location serving up the best in "spirits"!
MeltdownIf you like big displays, this is a place for you! Lots of larger than life characters to see.
MeltdownAll I'm going to say about this display is that it got me. Go see it for yourself. ;)
MeltdownWhat haunted house/yard would be complete without a Hearse? Yes, there's one of those too!
MeltdownWho doesn't want a picture in an electric chair?! You can do that too at this crazy place!
