I was invited to attend the Saturday night ghost hunt/investigation by John, Jess and Dave from Flyer Paranormal of the Orson Starr House. Of course I jumped at the chance! They were recent guests on my Haunted Michigan podcast. What a fun, interesting night in Royal Oak.

The house was built in 1845. The family moved from upstate New York to Michigan to continue Mr. Starr's occupation, making cowbells. Four generations of the family made their residence there until the town acquired the historic home in 1979.

A lot of the furniture you'll see in the pictures were donated by people around the community.

Check out these video clips I captured in the basement. There's some whispering and noises we can't explain. Listen carefully around the :13-:16 mark, and the :31-:34 mark.

For more on the Orson Starr House, watch this episode of Haunted Michigan.

A picture of Mr. Starr. The thinking is he was dead when this picture was taken and they drew eyes onto him. Creepy.

The upstairs childrens room. A lot of activity has been reported in this room. BTW, check out the original floorboards in this room.
