My friends Todd Bonner and Jeff Adkins from Detroit Paranormal Expeditions were cool enough to invite me to join them in investigating the Frederick Stearns House in Detroit on Friday the 13th. Of course, I was IN!

What a beautiful place!! You can see more by clicking here or just looking at the pictures below. I got there around 7 p.m. when others joined us as well. After a brief history of the house and the story of the recent four-year restoration by the owner, we were off and running.

Todd and Jeff lead the group to the basement for the first part of the tour. Jeff later texted me that the second tour brought out “darker” messages than we were getting on the first tour. He said that some very clear profanities came through, which is unusual since the devices are scanning terrestrial radio signals. He said at one point they asked “How long have you been following Todd?” he said they immediately got a woman’s voice that said “Long” super clear. He also said the word “Stearns” came through when asked who owned the house.

Jeff texted “This was pretty crazy. It was on the third floor using FLIR, which is a device that detects infrared energy (heat) and converts it into a visual image. Things that are warm or hot are orange to red, and things that are cold are light purple to dark purple, with darker being colder.”

“Here is an image in a third-floor room while we were doing a spirit box session. All of a sudden, this man’s voice started coming through out of nowhere. On the camera, there was this huge dark mass of coldness to her right.”
