It was another picture-perfect summer night for a concert Friday in Woodhaven, Michigan. Uncle Sam Jam has turned into a must-go-to event every July.
This year was no different, with Fuel and Hinder taking the stage as WRIF hosted the night. Fuel played a set mixed with their hits from “Shimmer” to Hemorage” and everything in between before finishing their set before the fireworks lit up the sky over I-75 to the delight of the thousands on hand on the grounds and throughout the adjacent neighborhoods.

After the 20-minute fireworks display, Hinder was ready to take to the stage. The “Get Stoned” and “Lips Of An Angel” bands brought it. But not before I grabbed them for a quick picture and a chat about the first time they came through Detroit. They brought their tequila brand, which we polished off in the studio. Yes, I still have the bottle!
Thanks to everyone who said hello to Randy for the stage help and to Joe and Kevin for putting on a great event. I’m already looking forward to next year’s Uncle Sam Jam.
