Jinjer, Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed played Pine Knob Friday night to a near capacity crowd. I'll admit, I heard Jinjer from afar, like in my car, because the traffic was so backed up.

Before the Disturbed boys came on, I ran into a lot of WRIF listeners, including Eric Vanlerbleghe and Dylan Bowman from I Prevail. Love those guys!

Disturbed came on at 9pm sharpe, and didn't let up until about 10:50. It's been a long time since I've seen that much fire, and I know for sure I've never seen that much dry ice on one stage.

When I was in Nashville this past April, the guys where doing rehearsals in a huge warehouse of sorts, purposed for this exact reason. Lights, fire, the way the lighting rig moved throughout the show, song by song. Now I see why they worked so hard on pre-production for the tour.

As they play, you realize how many hit songs these guys have in their holster. "Stupify", "Are You Ready", "Inside The Fire", on and on. Toss in a couple of their most popular covers and you've got a great rock show!

Man, they've come a long way since I met David Draiman over 20 years ago.

Below are some pictures I took, along with WRIF photographer, Jason Anthony.
