District 142 is open, with Uncle Kracker on stage.

In case you haven’t heard, District 142 in Wyandotte opened with a star studded bang on Friday night. What a beautiful venue!! Two floors of great sightlines to see your  favorite bands.

The night kicked off with the local band The Stone Blossoms, but cranked up fast when Uncle Kracker took to the stage. Following Kracker, Jade and myself introduced the next surprise act, Leigh and Nick from Pop Evil. They did an acoustic set with help from Kracker guitarist, Mike Adkins. Sponge closed out the opening night with their typical blistering set of classics.

The RIFF has a couple shows lined up, Saliva on March 24th and Saving Abel on July 5th. Keep it on WRIF for more show announcements coming. In the meantime, get down to Wyandotte and see this amazing music club.
