Michigan Has the No. 1 Campsite in America
Is it spring yet? It’s actually felt like spring all winter in Michigan, if you ask me, but we still have some snow on the way and highs in the 30s, so we’re not out of the woods yet.
Speaking of the woods, Michigan has some great campgrounds to enjoy this spring and summer. Now, one of those camping spots has been named the No. 1 best in America.
The study comes from Campspot.com, which has released its annual list of the best campgrounds in America. “We’ve looked at all the data and heard from the most knowledgeable campers—you!” they state in the study. “We took all bookings, reviews, and internal data into account to create the shortlist of nominees and then had campers vote to settle the rest!”
Indian River RV Resort in Indian River, Michigan, was named the best campground in Michigan. The area is located in northern Michigan, right off Burt Lake, and offers nature and wildlife, plus modern amenities such as wifi and a general store. “With close distance to Michigan’s famous lakes, you can enjoy watersports, fishing, boating, and incredible picturesque views,” the outlet states. “Take a dip in their inground heated pool or enjoy fun activities, including basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and a ride on the ‘happy camper express.'”
