Disney Costume Exhibition Coming to The Henry Ford
Hey, I’m a girl, so I was really into Disney Princesses as a kid. Okay, I’m actually still into them. My little cousins think I look like Belle, which is pretty much the biggest compliment in the world to me. Now, a new exhibition is bringing Disney’s most iconic costumes to The Henry Ford in Dearborn.
“Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume” will be at The Henry Ford beginning June 25, 2022 and running through Jan. 1, 2023. The exhibition will feature decades of film produced by The Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Television and Disney Theatrical Group.
In total, expect to see 79 costumes from 32 films that were sported by 71 different actors. That’s everything from ball gowns to military uniforms- and, yes, even glass slippers.
Some of the most famous costumes include Cinderella’s ballgown, Jack Sparrow’s outfit from “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and Belle’s ballgown from “Beauty and the Beast.”
