Fall has arrived, and with it we must now say goodbye to summer…and the 101 Riffs Of Summer along with it. However, we can hold our heads up high knowing it was a rocking summer full of epic riffs.
All summer long, at 2pm on weekdays, Jade played an iconic “riff” from one of your favorite WRIF bands. Actually, on Tuesday we played two riffs, you know, because Two-fer Tuesday. Sure, autumn brings exciting things like football, cider mills, and beautiful foliage. However, we’re going to miss our daily dose of riffs.
Throughs the summer, we showcased some of the best guitar riffs of all-time. We played hits from today, including our Riff Fest headliner I Prevail, and throwbacks to great shreds of the past. There were songs from the hair metal days and songs that came out more recently. We did our best to cover it all.
To close it all out, we had a great playlist. During the final week, the playlist featured bands like I Prevail, Slipknot, Pantera, and more. It captured all angles and genres of rock and roll.
Previously, we’ve highlighted bands like Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, and more. The catalogue goes deep and it goes way back, covering all different aspects and angles of rock and roll throughout the years. Great “Riffs” happened back in the ’60s, and they’re still happening today. With the 101 Riffs of Summer, we hope to cover all of your favorites spanning across multiple generations and decades.
If you missed any of the “Riffs” this week, check out the playlist below, along with the playlist from previous weeks, as well. Then, continue reading to hear about an awesome contest with a rocking Grand Prize! Time is quickly running out, and I’d hate for you to miss out on this opportunity!
