Keys to A Lions Super Bowl
The Detroit Lions franchise has been in existence for nearly 100 years now. This Sunday, the team will play in it’s 2nd ever NFC championship game. The Lions have a legitimate chance to make it to a Super bowl. There are key things that must happen to have a Lions Super bowl.
Detroit started out as the Portsmouth Spartans in 1929. After moving to Detroit in 1934, the team stayed and won a few championships in the 1950’s. One in 1952, 1953 and another in 1957. Since those 3 championships, the Detroit Lions have never seen such success again, until now.

The New Culture
The Lions are the most powerful thing in the city of Detroit right now. The city has been longing for something to believe in for decades. Sadly, a professional football team was never something that Detroiters could count on. Dan Campbell and the current Detroit Lions franchise have turned that around.
The team plays harder than any team in the NFL and they play for each other. Very few teams have the sort of “all in” approach that this group of players have invested in. You cannot teach selflessness. Dan Campbell has rallied each and every one of these players to elevate their game to maximize their abilities. Something that even the best of the best coaches can’t always achieve.

This season feels like it has the potential to have a storybook ending for Detroit. For that to happen, certain things have to take place. In order to see a Lions Super Bowl, the Lions have to do a handful of things effectively which will result in them beating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Keys To a Lions Super Bowl
One key to witnessing a Detroit Lions Super Bowl is getting pressure on San Francisco Quarterback Brock Purdy. Aidan Hutchinson, Alim McNeill, James Houston, Josh Paschall and John Cominsky truly have their work cut out for them. In the playoffs thus far however, the Lions defense has succeeded in getting enough pressure on opposing Quarterbacks to limit their effectiveness. If this happens again on Sunday, it will be instrumental in seeing a Detroit Lions Super Bowl berth.
The Offensive Line
Another key to seeing Detroit make it to their first Super Bowl in franchise history is their offensive line play. Frank Ragnow got beat up in their last matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even still he powered through and dominated star defensive tackle Vita Vea. The 49ers have perhaps the best defensive line in professional football.

This will be the offensive line’s biggest test of the season for Detroit. They have been a top 5 ranked o-line all season. Now is when it matters most to protect Lions Quarterback Jared Goff. While also creating running lanes for Detroit backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. If the offensive line can hold their own against the fearsome San Francisco defensive front, they will win.
Jared Goff
The third key to seeing our Lions make it to the Super Bowl is Jared Goff. Jared Goff has proven that he is much more than just a game manager in these playoffs. Goff has put up back-to-back stellar games where he picked apart opposing defenses and made pinpoint passes which resulted in wins. He has completely won over this city in the process, and everyone is pulling for him now. If Goff can reward the fans’ faith in him just one more time this weekend, we will see the first ever Lions Super Bowl.
