Kelly Stafford Has a Message for Detroit Fans Who Booed Her Family
What a weekend. You can’t make this stuff up, kids. Matthew Stafford, who played quarterback for the Detroit Lions for more than a decade, was back in town to take on his former team. The Lions hosted the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field on Sunday (Jan. 15) in a NFL Wild Card matchup. Stafford and his entire family was back in town, and it was a very emotional experience for all involved. Now, his wife, Kelly Stafford, has posted a message for Detroit fans who booed her family.
If you’re been living under a rock, I’ll update you that the Lions beat the Rams in a riveting 24-23 win. The win was sweet for Lions quarterback Jared Goff, too. Goff was “traded” from the Los Angels Rams during the Stafford trade and really given the shaft. He deserves so much more, and he’s getting it with the Lions.
Stafford gave a lot to the city of Detroit when he was here. So, maybe it was jarring for his family to hear him booed at Ford Field. In a social media post, Kelly Stafford both called out fans who booed her family and shared some love for the Detroit Lions after the game. In the post, she said, “What a season.. and for it to end at Ford Field ♥️ Already excited for this Rams team next season.” She added, “And he will be back next year Detroit, but until then, go get you one!!!” Then, a fan commented on one of Kelly’s recent posts stating, “Enough with the Detroit love, they showed their true colors, f them.” She responded saying, “It’s sports. The city wants to win. Everything is fair game… Except the fans who booed my children. Other than that, I loved the atmosphere and the booing just gave my husband more fire. The more you love, the more you hate. I consider it all love going both ways. And both that we are out, I hope the Lions fans bring home a Lombardi to that city because that feeling is like no other. Go get it.” That is a sweet message from Kelly, and it’s nice that she wishes the Lions well.
