The Instagram page ‘Totally80sRoom’ compiled an awesome selection of cringeworthy 80’s “video dating” clips. This will either hit people with the nostalgia feels or give you a glimpse of how rough it was. These videos feature women who are sharing what they’re looking for in a partner. A few women are intent on finding a “clean” person. One woman shares her troubles trying to ride horses. Another, says she dreams of starting her own religion!
Needless to say, there wasn’t any internet forum to pour your heart into. Or, any websites or apps to upload hundreds of pictures. And those nudes you love so much…not happening, maybe for the better!

Accoriding to pewresearch.org, thirty percent of U.S. adults have used a dating app. Tinder being the most popular, with almost half of online daters saying they’ve used the service. A little more than half of dating app users say they’ve had a positive experience with the app. Unfortunately, we don’t have any numbers on the experiences or success rates of the 1980’s video dating technique.
About half of people who have used dating sites say they have come across a scammer according to pewresearch.org. The video dating of the 1908’s didn’t have any A.I. bots attached to them but some of the people could have been lying.
