Michigan Is Going to Feel Like Summer Again – For One Day Only
Michigan weather. You’ve got to love it. Not really. One day, you can be wearing a winter coat, hat and gloves, and the next day, you can be in shorts and a tank. That’s Michigan weather for you. Well, the good news for all your warm weather fans, myself included, is that Michigan is going to feel like summer again. But, it’s for one day only.
This kind of crept up on us. Michigan has been experiencing some very cold, wet weather lately, so a sudden warmup is kind of unexpected. But, it’s happening. A few days will actually be warmer than expected, but one stands above the rest. Read on for the forecast and what days will be warmer than normal.
Michigan Is Going to Feel Like Summer Again
On Tuesday (Oct. 24), much of lower Michigan will be in the mid-70s, according to Weather.com. Yes, you read that correctly. Nearing the end of October, Michigan will be in the mid-70s. It will also be sunny on Tuesday. This is pretty universal for all of lower Michigan, with Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Flint all nearing 75. Then, Wednesday is back down to around 60, and Thursday is back up to 70. But, rain is expected Wednesday and Thursday, making it difficult to enjoy those warmer days. But Sunday, however, temperatures will be back in the mid-to-upper 40s. Not cool. Those are high temperatures, too. I’m not happy about it.
So, if you’re looking to enjoy one final blast of warm weather before the snow kicks in, make plans to be outside on Tuesday. Pull your shorts out of storage, get those deck chairs out of the basement and soak up the sun. I hope this warm trend is indicative of a warmer winter, too. We’ll have to wait and see, but many of the long-range predictions do have a warmer winter for much of the U.S.
