This Is Why You Should Always Listen To Your Trainers Instructions
This guy is really lucky to not be seriously injured after dropping 265 lbs of weight on his chest in the middle of a bench press.
The gymgoer who also trains for boxing says that he was having some pain in his hand while doing bench presses. This pain was caused from some of the work he does while training for boxing.
He discovered if he adjusted his grip on the bar by removing his thumb that the pain went away and he was able to continue his work out. Now trainers always tell you to keep your thumb on the bar and this is why.
In the middle of a rep the bar slips out of his hands and lands pretty hard on his chest. Luckily for him, there were two other buff hunks around to help get that weight off his chest.
