LISTEN: Gorillaz Debut New Song, ‘Friday 13th,’ Featuring Rapper Octavian
Gorillaz has debuted a new song from the band’s collaborative “Song Machine” series.
The new track, called “Friday 13th,” features rapper Octavian. Listen the the song below.
Gorillaz announced their “Song Machine” project at the beginning of this year, explaining the series would feature an “ever-evolving roster of as yet unannounced collaborators.”
“Friday 13th” follows the previously released tracks “Momentary Bliss” featuring slowthai and Slaves, “Désolé” featuring Fatoumata Diawara and “Aries” featuring Peter Hook and Georgia.
Gorillaz also released a new song that’s not part of the “Song Machine” series, named “How Far?” back in May, featuring Tony Allen and Skepta. Allen, a pioneer of Afrobeat music, died in late April at age 79.
