Metal Band Posts Insane Breakup Message on Facebook
There are amicable breakups, there are messy breakups and then there’s what Peter Turik of Canadian metal band Witchrot did on the group’s official Facebook page to announce the band’s split.
Turik posted the following message on Witchrot’s Facebook page over the weekend, and it’s easily one of the most brutal/unintentionally funny posts imaginable:
“Due to the unfortunate reality of our guitarist f*cking my girlfriend of almost 7 years WITCHROT will be taking an extended hiatus. I however will continue the band in another space and time, being ripe with hate the music is slowly flowing and without a doubt will become the most devastating, torturous music I have ever created. Thanks for the support, stay heavy – Peter
Also our drummer died…”

Just in case you weren’t won over by the opening sentence, the post’s closing of, “Also our drummer died…” really seals the deal. Of course, it’s really unfortunate Witchrot are no longer together, because their breakup has likely made them the most popular that they ever been.
