How to Enter for a Chance to Win
There are three methods of entry to qualify for a chance to win the Grand Prize:
1)
On-Air: Tune in to WRIF from March 30 to April 17, 2015 for your chance to qualify.
The correct caller
to the WRIF studio hotline at (248) 544-WRIF as soon as the DJ instructs listeners to call in, who also
meets all eligibility requirements, will win the qualifying prize, a Dave & Chuck The Freak T-Shirt and
Free Download for Dave & Chuck The Freak’s “Kick Ass Game” (ARV = $27.99). WRIF is not
responsible for any failure of a caller to reach the WRIF studio hotline including but not limited to busy
phone lines, misdirected or garbled calls, equipment breakdowns, or disconnections.
Online listeners to the
WRIF web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to WRIF’s over-the-air
broadcast is the best way to participate in the on-air portion of this contest
. Caller qualification is
subject to
FULL phone call completion
, and the verification of the caller’s name, address, home phone number, and
work/cell phone number, all of which must be provided prior to completion of the call.
Calls may be made
only to the designated phone number. Fifteen (15) on-air qualifiers will be selected by Friday, April 17
th
.
2)
In Game App Registration: On or about March 30, 2015, a new level to Dave & Chuck The Freak’s Kick
Ass Game will be released. Following the release of this level, all current subscribers to the game will
receive a prompt within the App to register for a chance to win the grand prize. Subscribers to the game
must fill out the registration form in order to enter. Any consumers who purchase the Game App during the
promotional window will also receive the Registration prompt upon purchasing and opening the App for
the first time. Contest registrations must be completed and submitted by 11:59pm (ET) on April 17, 2015
to be eligible.

Mail In Register To Win: From March 30 to April 17, 2015, listeners can go to
www.wrif.com
and go to the
Dave & Chuck The Freak’s Game Page to download a register to win form. The Registration Form must be
filled out and then printed and mailed in to the WRIF Studios at One Radio Plaza, Ferndale MI 48220 in
order to register to win the grand prize. Entries must be postmarked by April 17, 2015 and received by
April 20, 2015 to be eligible.
On or about April 21, 2015, a total of Three (3) Winners will be selected. One (1) Winner will be selected from the
Fifteen (15) On Air Qualifiers. Two (2) Winners will be selected from all eligible entries received from the In Game
and Mail In methods of entry (combined). Limit one in-game or mail-in entry per person (total). Limit one on-air
qualifying opportunity per person. NOTE: If a Canadian resident is selected as a potential winner, that person must
also successfully complete a skill-based test (for example, answering a mathematical question correctly within a 5
minute time period, without the benefit of any calculating device) before the prize will be awarded. Each confirmed
winner will receive the grand prize.
Prize
Three grand prizes will be awarded: the opportunity for the winner to become a featured “thug” in the Final Level
of The Dave & Chuck The Freak’s Kick Ass Game. Winners will work with Red Piston Inc., the game designer, to
have their likeness created in animated form to be featured in cut scenes and game play within the Game App. Prize
has no cash value. Winners must coordinate with WRIF and Red Piston Inc. to meet all design requirements and
deadlines. Failure to cooperate will result in forfeiture of the prize and exclusion from the Game.
Odds of being selected as an On Air Winner once a qualifier are One in Fifteen. Odds of being selected as an In
game or Mail In winner depend on number of eligible entries received. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for
cash. WRIF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value.
Winners may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any
person other than the winner. Winners must claim their prizes by completing all required paperwork in person at the
WRIF offices by April 23, 2015, or as otherwise instructed by WRIF promotions staff. Prizes not claimed by the
stated deadline or as otherwise instructed will be forfeited.
Eligibility
All entrants must be at least 18 years old. On Air Qualifiers must be legal residents of the United States residing in
the Detroit metro survey area (as defined by Nielsen Audio).
In-Game and Mail-In entrants must be legal residents
of the United States or Canada, living or working in the terrestrial listening area of WRIF.
A winner will be
disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a WRIF contest with a value over $50.00 within the
previous 60 days. Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of Greater
Media Detroit, Red Piston Inc., their respective affiliates, promotional sponsors, advertising and promotional
agencies who do business with WRIF and Red Piston Inc., and other radio stations in the Detroit metro survey area
are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians,
children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.” Limit one entry per person and one
qualifier per household; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant.
No purchase or other consideration is necessary
to participate in this contest.
Release
By entering, all participants agree to release and hold harmless the promotion sponsors, WRIF, Greater Boston
Radio, Inc., Red Piston Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers,
employees and agents from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in
connection with this contest and any prize won.
Winners will be required to sign a form releasing WRIF and its
affiliated companies from all liability in connection with the contest and the award and use of the prize before
claiming the prize.
Disclaimer
Each of WRIF and Red Piston Inc. undertakes no liability or responsibility, and makes no warranties, express or
implied, with respect to the performance of the prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance
of any service provider, or for any other risk, incident or damage, direct or indirect, relating to or arising out of the
contest, including (but not limited to) cancellations, postponements, delays or other scheduling changes; missed
events or connections or inability of winner to attend; dissatisfaction with Game likeness or animation; and accident,
injury, damage or expense arising from or occurring during the use of the prize, or travel to/from or attendance at or
participation in any event relating to the contest, by the winner and/or winner’s guest(s).
Neither WRIF nor
Red
Piston Inc.
is responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or
other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled,
disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the
equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the
execution of this contest. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but
not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or
other causes beyond the control of WRIF and
Red Piston Inc.
, Station reserves the right at its sole discretion to
cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and/or determine an alternate method of awarding the prize(s).
License
Entry into any contest constitutes full permission for WRIF,
Red Piston Inc.,
and promotion sponsors and their
respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant’s name, voice, recorded comments,
biographical information, face and likeness, in any medium, without compensation.
Taxes
If required by applicable law, WRIF will report the total value of each prize to the IRS and will furnish winners with
a federal Form 1099. Winners may be required to provide their social security number to WRIF for tax reporting
purposes, and are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize. The stated
prize has no cash value.
General
Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a
contestant, will result in
the contestant’s disqualification and
forfeiture of any prize won. WRIF reserves the right to
rule ineligible listeners who, in WRIF’s sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or
promotion conducted by WRIF or its affiliates. WRIF reserves the right to make changes in the contest rules at any
time, which changes will become effective upon announcement.
By taking part in this contest, participants agree to
be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges, who are employees of WRIF, and whose decisions with
respect to all aspects of the contest are final and binding.
Copies of written contest rules and the list of winners are
available during regular business hours at the WRIF studio, One Radio Plaza, Ferndale, MI 48220, for 60 days after
the contest concludes.
As a condition to participating in this contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved
between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with this contest shall be resolved
individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Oakland County,
Michigan having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to
the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and WRIF hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. If any
provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal,
unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will
be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law
.
Contest is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
