Fans of Kobe Bryant have flocked to the Staples Center, the home arena of the Los Angeles Lakers, to mourn the shocking death of the iconic shooting guard who won five NBA championships during his 20-year career as a Laker.

Many fans dressed in Lakers apparel have gathered with signs and have laid down flowers paying their respects to Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash today (January 26) along with eight other people. One of the other confirmed deaths was Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. The additional fatalities have yet to be publically identified as of publishing. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.

The Lakers fans that have gathered had to navigate additional traffic due to the Staples Center hosting the 62nd Grammy Awards tonight.
