There’s a lot to get to today on the pod. Two guys from two different generations and totally different bands.
Up first (around the 5 minute mark) it’s Deryck Whibley from Sum 41. They’re starting their fall tour this weekend with a show at Louder Than Life down in Louisville. It’s a great festival a mere 6 hour drive from the Motor City. We talk about living half his life in the spotlight, growing up in Canada, the new album “Order Of Decline”, his health, being the face of the band and lots more.
Scott Gorham joins me around the 19:35 mark. We talk about his band, Black Star Riders, and their new album – “Another State Of Grace”, new members in the band and more on that. He tells me about joining Thin Lizzy after the remote possibility of joining his brother-in-law’s band, which is a big-time classic rock band. I bring in some questions/comments from former BSR guitarist Damon Johnson and producer Jay Ruston. He also tells me his thoughts on their lack of real success in the States. We touch on lots of stuff in this interview.
Al Beck brings the Rock News. Lots of stuff going on with Soundgarden, we discuss a classic album that turns 50, plus, who the Foo Fighters brought on stage with them recently.
For feed back, give me a call at 248-586-2988. 5 star ratings and reviews on iTunes/Apple are very helpful.
Thanks for listening!
