Gary Holt is making two appearances this weekend in S.E. Michigan. First, he’ll be at Rock City Music in Livonia on Saturday between 3-6 pm for a clinic, storytelling and meeting and greeting the fans. Then on Sunday he’ll headline the show at Freedom Hill.

We talked about the Detroit rocker who inspired him to pick up a guitar, what’s going on with Exodus, his keys to success, the vegan lifestyle and Slayer’s final tour. He tells me how he could fill a book with what he knows about the thrash genre. Will he? He answers that question, too. Oh, he does talk about the family that he just cannot stand. That’s kinda funny.
