This is one of those interviews that’s just fun to listen to. Damon Johnson is a really nice guy and so easy talk with. He recently came through Detroit with the Judas Priest tour and I asked him if he’d sit down with me and discuss what he has going on in his life. He didn’t hesitate, and today you’ll hear about Black Star Riders, including how he got into the band, the story about joining Alice Cooper and some golfing tales with him. We talk about an early 90’s cover band called the Taco Bros.. Damon relives an amazing night where a legendary drummer joined them on stage….and didn’t want to stop playing! Classic story! He tells me about his keys to success, his “Birmingham Tonight” album, and lots more. Oh, wait until you hear about the three legends he played with in Las Vegas. Unbelievable! It’s another great listen.
