Kirk Hammett Pays Tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green
Kirk Hammett took to Instagram in a series of posts honoring guitarist Peter Green, the co-founder of Fleetwood Mac who died over the weekend at age 73.
In his first post, Hammett wrote, “No words can describe how I feel right now. Peter Green lives on through his music and his instrument. Our loss is total. Peter Green, Rest In Peace my friend.” The post was accompanied by a photo of Green’s ’59 gold Gibson Les Paul, which Hammett owns.
A second post shows Hammett holding the guitar along with the caption, “This pic speaks volumes, literally…!” A third post features Hammett playing the guitar.
A fourth and final post is a photo of Hammett with Green and the ’59 gold Gibson Les Paul with the caption, “Long Live Peter Green.”
