ICYMI: Angels & Airwaves Release New Song

Tom DeLonge’s band Angels & Airwaves are back for the first time since 2016 with a new track!

Stream “Rebel Girl” below! There are no details on a new album however, the band will be going on tour in September and stopping by St. Andrews Hall on 9/20. This tour will be the first time the band has performed together in 7 years. When speaking about the new song Tom said,

“Rebel Girl is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music,” says lead vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge. “As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company,  so you never know –  I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”

Jade was born and raised in Detroit Rock City and grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, The Who, Tom Petty, etc. In high school she tried multiple different styles from cheerleader to goth but couldn’t do gymnastics and couldn’t get her eyeliner dark enough. She settled on jeans and a t-shirt, playing sports and making normal situations overly awkward. When she’s not making bad jokes on the radio you can find her shanking golf balls into the woods on the golf course and drinking beers at the bar. She has a strict two shot limit when it comes to tequila. Jade enjoys writing and talking about everything happening in Detroit Rock City, our Detroit sports teams, golf, and her fear of robots.
