Detroit City FC Unveils New Uniforms for 2025 Season
On Sunday, March 2, Detroit City FC unveiled its new uniforms for the upcoming season during an event with season ticket holders. The redesigned uniform kits, inspired by the Lions and Pistons, include both home and away versions.
The home uniforms feature the team’s primary rouge color with white sleeves, showcasing the team’s logo on the chest. The away uniforms are predominantly white with an emerald green front and a Spirit of Detroit logo on the chest.
According to a WXYZ-TV report, Detroit City FC took design cues from the Pistons and the Lions for the club’s goaltender uniforms. The home goaltender jersey features design elements from retro Pistons’ jerseys, including cursive lettering for Detroit City FC on the chest. In contrast, the away goaltender uniform reflects the Lions’ color scheme, with its light blue and gray coloration with gray sleeves, similar to Lions jerseys.
The home and away uniform kits include the logo for AlumniFi, the digital-first financial branch of MSU Federal Credit Union, the primary sponsor for the new uniform kits.
Detroit City FC kicks off the season on Saturday, March 8, with an away match against Miami, followed by the team’s home opener at Keyworth Stadium on Saturday, March 22.
