Gavin Rossdale is Just as Confused by ‘Tiger King’ as You Are
If you’re still beside yourself from watching the Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale is right there with you.
Rossdale touched on the viral hit in a new interview on Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown and said of the series, “Everyone’s been going on about it, so course, I had to check it out. And so I’ve been watching it, but I’m watching it upside down, like I keep cocking my head like a cat with a weird thought of, ‘What is going on?!’ I think I got the gist of it. It’s just all so unexpected. Everyone’s on meth, and everyone’s married to everyone. And then people die, and then they’re back together, and then someone kills someone else. It’s just chaos!”
A film version of the docuseries is reportedly in the works. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Exotic either wants Brad Pitt or David Spade to play him in the film, but the people behind the film adaptation note that Exotic doesn’t refer to Spade by his name. Instead, he refers to him as Joe Dirt, because of course he does.
Spade has already told Entertainment Tonight he’s not interested in playing Exotic, but Rossdale said of the casting, “David is made for that role!”
It’s a shame Rossdale isn’t a casting director, however, it would be hilarious to see Pitt transform himself into Joe Exotic and maybe add another Academy Award to his mantle.
