The Killers, Imagine Dragons Confirmed for Woodstock 50
The full lineup for the Woodstock 50 festival has yet to be released, but a handful of artists have been confirmed for the August 16-18 anniversary celebration in Watkins Glen, N.Y.
Per Billboard, The Killers and Imagine Dragons will be performing at the festival, which is being organized by Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang. Also confirmed for Woodstock 50 are Santana, Grateful Dead offshoot Dead & Company and Chance The Rapper.
Earlier this week, there were rumors of financial issues already affecting Woodstock 50 as some artists booked had not been paid in full yet. Due to Woodstock 50 not partnering with a major promoter live Live Nation or AEG, the various agencies representing the artists on the bill are requiring being paid in full before the festival. However, as of Monday night (March 4), all artists on the bill have been paid in full.
Lang told Billboard that the rest of the lineup, which will feature over 80 artists from a variety of genres, will be announced “within the next couple of weeks” and that fans can expect “a once in a lifetime event.”
